Rene Delgadillo of Phoenix, Arizona began a career that has given him national acclaim as a professional dancer. He formed a group known as the “Paragon Dancers” who went on to become the most popular pop-locking and breakdance group in the state of Arizona. It has been said that “Rene has set the standards of pop-locking and breakdancing in Arizona” and under his direction, the Paragon Dance Group has achieved a tremendous amount of recognition and numerous awards. Rene, an expert in his field, personally choreographs all the Paragon’s dance routines and has a fresh and exciting original style.

Rene also has another passion aside from pop-locking and breakdancing. He loves the feeling of sensuality and excitement that Latin dancing gives him. Rene has never had formal training. He learned to dance on his own out of a personal desire to express himself. This desire and informal self-training has created a unique dance style that continues to make Rene stand out as a dancer. Latin dancing led to the desire to share his talents and Rene and a partner started entering local dance contests. The contests brought recognition which led to new opportunities. It open doors for him to become not just a dancer but a well respected choreographer for fashion shows and dance troupes in California, Mexico and Arizona.

Once again, Rene has proven that his creativeness has allowed him to succeed and rise above the crowd. He performed with several dance partners on several shows all over Arizona, he taught dance, performs with the Paragon dancers and performed as a solo dancer. He has appeared on national television shows incuding Solid Gold, Dance Fever, and Entertainment Tonight, as well as plenty of local TV programs like Phoenix Tonight, PM Magazine, Rita Davenport Show, Get It On, and the local LULAC television Program.

He has performed in front of the largest audiences ever in Phoenix at concerts that include Midnight Star, De Barge, the USFL Wrangler Cheerleaders, and with the dancers from the movie “Breakin”.Rene and the Paragon Dancers have played the large auditoriums including Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Celebrity Theatre, Arizona State University, Gamage Theatre and the Tempe Diablo Stadium. They have also performed in all the number one night spots in Arizona like the Playboy Club, Graham Central Station, Tommy’s Copa West and the Jockey Club. In addition, the group has been in demand to perform at plenty of Hotel resorts including the Biltmore, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Marriott’s, the Pointe and Hyatt Regency.

About 10 years ago, Rene moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and formed the first and original salsa dance group known as “The Paragons of Salsa-Magic”. He auditioned several dancers, both amateur and professional, and kept his eyes open for artists whose style and temperament would lend itself to a group, but who would also retain their individuality. Through the process of trials and errors he found his “stars” and that was the beginning of “Paragon” in Las Vegas, Nevada. Just before he moved to Las Vegas, Rene also found Susan, the “Sweetheart of Paragon”. Rene trained Susan to be a professional dancer and turned her into a versatile, elegant and passionate dancer. When you see these two dancing on the dance floor they tell a story of passion. Their dancing is different, reflecting a free spirit and expression. It is done for the simple joy of dancing, responding to the beat, tempo and feel of the music. They dance as a means of expressing oneself, with or without a partner, choreographed or impromptu, in the streets or on the dance floor. They swept the State of Nevada and Arizona and entered and won dance competitions. During this time Rene and Susan also opened the “Tuesday Latin Night” at Axis-Radius in Scottsdale, Arizona. They also performed at The Los Angeles Salsa Congress.
