BIOGRAPHY:

Dj GC “ The GoldenChild “ began his love of music at the age of  5.  It began with the piano then evolved into a much more intense instrument, 2 Technics 1200  turntables and a Numark 1700T mixer. Dj GC started his education of mixology in 1988 at the age of 15. He was influenced by a lot of Chicago greatest DJ’s, Bad Boy Bill, Farley Jack MasterFunk,  Terry Hunter and one of the GodFather of House Music, Jesse Saunders.  Throughout his career in the Dj Industry he has proven to every crowd and every venue that Dj GC “ The GoldenChild “  can ENLIGHTEN a crowd through his music.  The name “GoldenChild “ was given and thus held because one, the overall appearance and two, the wisdom of one who can ENLIGHTEN one’s mind, body and soul.

Dj GC has preformed  for many corporate and private events including celebrities as in Jeff Speakman  who starred in “ The Perfect Weapon “ , and the legendary, Aretha Franklin. He also was asked to bring his skills  and entertainment to help make one of America’s hottest hair show, Paul Mitchel ‘s , “ The Matrix “ a great success at the Venetian Hotel and Casino. Dj GC has preformed throughout majority of the hotels and casino’s including many venues along Las Vegas Blvd. His desire to touch everyone who listens and hears his style of music drives him to an ENLIGHTENED state of mind.

Las Vegas, “ The Entertainment Capital of the World “, is known throughout the world for it’s extravagant nightlife. Dj GC has entered many venues and night clubs throughout Las Vegas, with special guest appearances and even headliner events. This Dj can cover all genre of music, being from disco to the 80’s, all Latin music ( salsa, merenge, batchata, cumbia , reggaeton ….) rock, hip hop and house, just to name a few. Whatever he thinks that can move a crowd, he will play it. His transition from song to song elevates as throughout his set, leaving an imprint in every individual mind as well as within their soul. “ Anyone can be a Dj and play music “ Dj GoldenChild states, “ But knowing how to read a crowd and knowing when to throw on the right song, which makes a crowd move even harder, make a True Dj.

Dj GoldenChild’s DJ sets blend a unique style of grooving, thumping house and or Hip Hop music with deep heart pounding rhythms,  punctuated by etheral vocal tracks and club favorites. Continuously searching for new ways to take it to the next level, DJ GC recently began utilizing his own skills as a production artist by remixing the old school Motown, R & B, Funk and any classic top hits overlapping today’s popular mainstream beats. Investing thousands of hours to perfect himself as a DJ, Producer and promoter, Dj GC has devoted his love for music and entertainment , thus making his career in the industry a full-time position. His mixing skills are top notch & his ability to read the crowd & keep them dancing all night long are way beyond the humanly possible. In just under a year, transplanting to Las Vegas from Chicago, this quick-study has already gained experience playing a variety of venues including clubs, lounges, house parties, restaurants, outdoor festivals, art gallery shows, corporate and even celebrity events.
